4 Chill Dog Friendly Restaurants and Breweries in Santa Fe

Posted on January 22, 2018 |

If you’re like me, sometimes you just need a lunch date with that special fur baby in your life. And when my Reindeer Chihuahua, Lulu, and I want some great food, spectacular atmosphere and puppy approved lounging; these are the 4 Dog Friendly Restaurants and Breweries in Santa Fe we hit up.

#1 The Chili Line Brewing Company
204 N Guadalupe St
Official Website

Smoked Beers, mouthwatering pizzas and dog friendly approved. This unique microbrewery and pizzeria hits all the taste buds you and your pup could ever desire in one location. If you haven’t had smoked beer before, you’re missing out. Only a handful of breweries in the US actually craft up smoked brews, so not only is this your opportunity to sample a 2000-year-old process in beer making, but taste a one-of-a-kind brew right here in Santa Fe.

#2 Casa Chimayo
409 W Water St
Official Website

Authentic New Mexican food with home cooking flare, this dog friendly casita has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and serves up some of the best food in town. The service is top notch and the atmosphere is quaint. Casa Chimayo sits inside the original Cordova home built in 1939. Owner Papa Chili’s (Roberto Cordova) motto stands true each and ever time “You come to Casa Chimayo as strangers, you make friends and you leave as family”. You don’t want to miss a dinner at the Cordova home.

#3 The Dragon Room at The Pink Adobe
406 Old Santa Fe Trail
Official Website

Built in the 1600s, this adobe home hosts one of Santa Fe’s hidden gems – The Dragon Room at the Pink Adobe. Opening up her restaurant The Pink Adobe in 1944, Rosalea Murphy was known throughout Santa Fe for her love of pups and her delicious hamburgers and apple pies. Eventually, she dropped the hamburgers for more New Mexican inspired dishes, but the place still serves up apple pies using Rosalea’s original recipe. And pups are still welcome. This place creates a nostalgic vibe and simply reflects the artistic creativity of Santa Fe.

#4 Desert Dogs Brewery and Cidery
112 W San Francisco St Suite 307
Official Website

This new kid in town is not necessarily the new kid on the block. This brewery is a joint venture between the hip Albuquerque brewery Boese Brothers Brewery and New Mexico Hard Ciders out of Santa Fe. A bromance from the beginning, these two owners have created the perfect combination of microbrews and ciders in a laid back atmosphere. Free pool, games and artwork featuring local artists, pups and peeps love calling on this place for a chill Santa Fe vibe.
