  1. Burning of Zozobra
    Fort Macy Park – Aug 30
    This spectacular sight to see in Santa Fe has been going on for over 90 years. Fireworks and ceremonial dances, followed by an unforgettable sight as Zozobra is set on fire to rid all the negative energy, doom and gloom from last year. His groaning can be heard throughout downtown.
  2. Indian Market
    Downtown Plaza – Aug 17-18
    Thousands of Native artists and designers gather together in the historic downtown Plaza to showcase and celebrate Native art and culture in one of the world’s most recognized art festivals in the world.
  3. Santa Fe Music Week
    Various Locations – Aug 23-Sept 2
    This is the second year Santa Fe has put on Music Week and it’s looking to be bigger than the first year. Venues across Santa Fe (Santa Fe Opera, the Lensic, etc) will host local and national artists – everything from country and rock to latin and jazz, you won’t want to miss this experience. Free performances will take place daily at the Bandstand in the Plaza.
  4. Meow Wolf Taos Vortex 2019
    Taos, NM – Aug 16-18
    Not exactly in Santa Fe, but a short drive to Taos for this immersive three-day event of live music, DJs, installation art and performances. The event will feature 35 artists in total. Weekend passes to this trippy event are on sale now.
  5. Saturday’s Farmers Market
    Railyard – Every Saturday, 7AM – 1PM
    Make locally-grown food a part of your Santa Fe experience and visit the market on Saturdays. Regularly voted among the top 10 markets in the country, the Santa Fe Farmer’s Market hosts up to 130 local farmers and producers from 15 Northern New Mexico counties.

    Ronald Roybal is a native of the American Southwest. A descendent of Pueblo and Spanish Colonial Peoples, his talents will be on display during a masterful performance of Native American Flute and Classical Spanish guitar.
  9. Music in the Mountains
    Hyde Memorial State Park Lodge – Aug 10, 6PM – 8PM
    The Friends Group of Hyde Memorial State Park presents Music in the Mountains 2019. This years musical talent includes Boom Roots Collective, a high level progressive Reggae and Hip Hop musical group which has been described as “Jamaican funk with New Mexican Soul” They will be performing on the back patio of the historic Hyde Memorial State Park Lodge.
  10. Chorizo Wiener Dog Races
    HIPICO Santa Fe – Aug 10, 12PM – 1PM
    This hilarious and adorable race ends the Santa Fe Summer Series. There will be two races: a Dachshund & Dachshund mix only race followed by a small breed race. A motorized vehicle will lead the first race, and the second will have owners calling their dogs from the finish line.
